Meet our 2024 Summer Interns! We look forward to highlighting a few of our wonderful interns each week in our Stadlership Spotlight.

Meet Sierra! This summer, Sierra is working alongside the Construction team at The Quarry in Fort Collins, CO, to assist the field team with inspections, punch walks, and other field operations to ensure the quality and schedule of the project. Sierra plans to graduate from Purdue University in May 2025 with a major in Construction Management Technology and a minor in Organizational Leadership. At Purdue, Sierra serves as the President of the Women in Construction Management club as well as a Teaching Assistant for CM 150. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, boating and spending time with her friends and family. As a returning intern, Sierra looks forward to learning more about site processes and Thompson Thrift as a company this summer.

Meet Ian! This summer, Ian is working with our Construction team at The Hadley in North Port, FL, to help with scheduling, managing subcontractors, organizing construction documents, and enforcing safety on the job site. Ian plans to graduate from Purdue University in May 2026 with a major in Construction Management Technology and a minor in Real Estate. At Purdue, Ian enjoys being a member of the Purdue Club Baseball Team and serves as the Director of Internal Affairs at Beta Upsilon Chi fraternity. A fun fact about Ian is that he was a part of his high school’s first state championship for baseball. In his role, Ian loves that he gets to interact with different people every day.

Meet Mahki! This summer, Mahki is working with the Safety Department to visit different sites to understand and implement safety protocols. Mahki currently attends Indiana State University and plans to graduate in May 2025 with a major in Construction Management. At ISU, Mahki is involved in the Construction Club and Greek Life. This summer, he looks forward to seeing different projects and understanding the importance of the Safety Department in construction. Outside of work, Mahki enjoys to golf and spend time with his friends.

Meet Julianne! This summer, Julianne is working as a Community Management Intern at Palm Grove in Ellenton, FL, to assist with leasing, sales, and social media marketing. Julianne plans to graduate from Emerson College in May 2025 with a major in Marketing Communications and a minor in Digital Media and Culture. Julianne loves working out, traveling, going to concerts, attending sporting events, going to the beach, and trying new restaurants! A fun fact about Julianne is that she used to play Division 1 soccer at Colorado State as well as Division 3 at Emerson College. This summer, Julianne looks forward to becoming more well-rounded and knowledgeable in multiple fields, as well as connecting with new people.

Meet Libby! This summer, Libby is working with the Marketing team to assist with marketing materials, website and social media management, communications and more. Libby plans to graduate from the Purdue Daniels School of Business in May of 2025 with majors in Marketing and Finance as well as a certificate in Data Science. At Purdue, Libby is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and serves on the leadership team for Greek Intervarsity. In her free time, Libby enjoys spending time with her friends and being involved in Bible studies. Libby is excited to be back as a returning intern and looks forward to expanding her knowledge and versatility in the Real Estate Industry.

Meet Cole! This summer, Cole is working alongside our Asset Management team to extract insights to drive decision-making strategies and assist in implementing data-driven solutions to address business challenges. Cole intends to graduate from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in May 2025 with a degree in Finance. At IU, Cole is involved in Dance Marathon, Kelley Student Government and serves on the Judicial Board Executive team for the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life. As a returning intern, Cole looks forward to expanding his knowledge on different departments and working alongside fellow interns. Cole loves working at a place that is committed to their interns’ development and being integrated into a culture of people who are friendly and fun to work with.

Meet Carter! This summer, Carter is working with our Construction team on The Quinn in Pensacola, FL, to assist our Project Manager and Project Engineer. Carter currently attends Purdue University, where he studies Construction Management and plans to graduate in May 2025. At Purdue, Carter is a member of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) and is an executive member of Beta Sigma Psi. When he's not at work, Carter enjoys playing golf. One fun fact about Carter is that he likes to fly small aircraft and drones. As a returning intern, Carter looks forward to learning more about Construction from a different perspective.

Meet Lane! This summer, Lane is working alongside our Capital Markets team to learn more about the ins and outs of their roles and investments. Lane plans to graduate from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in May 2025 with majors in both Accounting and Finance. At IU, Lane is involved in recreational sports and intramurals. Some of his interests include golf, ice hockey, and biking. This summer, Lane looks forward to getting to know his fellow interns and team members, as well as expanding his knowledge about real estate and capital markets.

Meet Mallory! This summer, Mallory is working with our Community Management team at The Quarry in Fort Collins, CO, to help with social media and learn more about leasing, how to get leads and how to retain residents. Mallory recently graduated in May 2024 from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate. During her time at Colorado State University, Mallory was involved in the Real Estate Club. Outside of work, Mallory loves going to see live music, hiking, finding new restaurants, and going to see movies. She looks forward to learning more about the real estate industry and Thompson Thrift as a company this summer.

Meet Seth! This summer, Seth is working alongside our Market Research team to complete research projects that will be presented to top management, as well as assisting with smaller assignments such as daily newsletters. Seth currently studies at the IU Indianapolis Kelley School of Business and plans to graduate in May 2025 with a major in Finance and Real Estate and a minor in Economics. At IU Indianapolis, Seth is the Co-President of the Real Estate Club, the Vice President of Finance at Delta Sigma Pi fraternity, and a member of the travel club tennis team. One of Seth’s favorite hobbies is teaching, watching, and playing tennis. A fun fact about Seth is that he can play tennis with both his left and right hand! In his role here at Thompson Thrift, Seth loves the work, people, and culture!

Meet Ellie! This summer, Ellie is working alongside our Preconstruction and Design Residential Development team to assist with a few projects located in the West region. Ellie currently studies Construction Management Technology at Purdue University and will graduate in August 2024. This summer, Ellie is most excited to be able to expand her knowledge, develop hard and soft skills, and get to know the team better! Outside of work, Ellie enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her friends. Within her role, Ellie loves learning about the project lifecycle and being able to collaborate with fellow interns and team members.

Meet Ben! This summer, Ben is working with our Construction team in Sarasota, FL, assisting with manpower, inventory, site progress photos, walking inspections, and unit punches. Ben will graduate in May of 2026 from Auburn University with a major in Building Science and a minor in Real Estate Development. At Auburn, Ben is the VP of External Affairs of the Associated General Contractors of America Student Chapter, the VP of the Associated Builders and Contractors of America Student Chapter, and holds other positions associated with Auburn’s College of Architecture, Design, and Construction. This summer, Ben looks forward to gaining more experience while deepening his knowledge of trade-partner relationships, project components, and strategic project planning.

Meet Reece! This summer, Reece is working alongside our Project Management team at The Stadler project in Bradenton, FL. Reece plans to graduate from Purdue University with a major in Construction Engineering and a minor in Management. This summer, Reece looks forward to learning more about the company and how the job works. In his role, he loves to exercise his problem-solving skills and enjoys collaborating with his teammates. Outside of work, Reece’s favorite pastimes include golfing, dirt biking, and lifting.

Meet Griffin! This summer, Griffin is working alongside our Residential Land Acquisitions Southeast Team, assisting with the underwriting process via rent comp comparisons, tax analyses, and different proforma inputs. Griffin will graduate from Hanover College in May of 2025 with majors in both Economics and Business. At Hanover, Griffin serves as a member of the Golf Team, the Social and Scholarship Chair of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, the Lead Ambassador for Hanover’s Ambassador program, and the Campus Relations Coordinator for the Hanover College Dance Marathon. As a returning intern, Griffin is looking forward to gaining a better grasp and understanding of the importance of underwriting and building connections and relationships with brokers.

Meet Regan! This summer, Regan is working as a Community Management intern at Slate at Fishers District to help with leasing, audits, move-in and move-outs, marketing, maintenance, touring, and job shadowing our regional manager. Regan plans to graduate in May of 2025 from Purdue University with a major in Hospitality and Tourism Management and a concentration in Marketing and Sales. At Purdue, Regan serves as the Vice President of the Professional Convention Management Association and the Marketing Chair of the Student Concert Committee. In her role, Regan looks forward to gaining experience on-site with the guests. She loves interacting with real residents by giving tours and making Slate feel like home! A fun fact about Regan is that she had a semester-long internship for Walt Disney World in Animal Kingdom!

Meet Mason! This summer, Mason is working with our Construction team at Premier at West Park in Greeley, CO, as a Field Engineer Intern to assist with punch list items, manpower, materials, and sub-coordination. Mason plans to graduate from Colorado State University in May of 2025 with a major in Construction Management. Mason is looking forward to learning how the construction field team works together with subcontractors to finish the project. Outside of work, Mason enjoys golf, skiing, and hunting. A fun fact about Mason is that he is the oldest of three siblings.

Meet Logan! This summer, Logan is working alongside our construction team at The Quinn in Pensacola, FL, to assist with turning over phase one of the project, keeping schedules, and finding effective ways to handle problems that arise from subcontractors working on-site. Logan plans to graduate from Indiana State University in December of 2025 with a major in Construction Management and a minor in Psychology. At ISU, Logan is involved in Indiana State Football, Real Estate club and the Sycamore Entrepreneurship program. This summer, Logan looks forward to continuing learning from experienced individuals in the industry.

Meet Owen! This summer, Owen is working as a Project Intern at The Quarry in Fort Collins, CO, where he's delving into document control tasks like RFIs, submittals, and change orders. He's eagerly learning problem-solving techniques to streamline processes. Owen is set to graduate from Colorado State University in December 2024 with a major in Construction Management. At CSU, he's also a research assistant working on developing sustainable construction materials. In his spare time, Owen enjoys snowboarding and playing guitar and mandolin. Owen values teamwork and mentorship at Thompson Thrift and enjoys learning from his colleagues.

Meet Brandon! This summer, Brandon is a part of the Thompson Thrift Construction Field Team in Buckeye, Arizona, where he's involved in tasks like progress photos, punch walks, quality control, and scheduling. Brandon plans to graduate from Arizona State University in December 2024 with a major in Fashion Business Management and a minor in Construction Management. Brandon loves the hands-on experience in the field and appreciates the supportive team environment at Thompson Thrift. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with friends.

Meet Hector! This summer, Hector is interning with Thompson Thrift Construction at The Junction in Rockledge, Florida, where he assists with daily manpower, progress photos, and prepping for box walks, eagerly anticipating exposure to multi-family construction on a larger scale. Hector plans to graduate from Auburn University in August 2027 with a major in Building Science and a minor in Entrepreneurship. Hector is also a Sportswriter for the Auburn Plainsman, writing previews for basketball, soccer, and gymnastics. Outside of work, Hector enjoys sports, watching "Suits," and doing puzzles. A fun fact about him is that he was born on Black Friday.

Meet Ellie! This summer, Ellie is working with the Residential team at Alta25 in Monument, CO, completing tasks as a Leasing Consultant and learning from her community manager. Ellie plans to graduate from Ball State University in May of 2026 with a major in Property Management. Ellie is excited about experiencing the ins and outs of lease-ups and exploring Colorado for the first time. At Ball State, she's involved in the Property Management Association and Women's Club Volleyball Team. Outside of work, Ellie enjoys playing volleyball, working out, attending concerts, and shopping. In her role, she loves being able to get to know residents and building relationships with her team.

Meet Cassia! This summer, Cassia is working alongside the Residential Marketing team, working on various projects like strategic marketing plans, social media analysis, and content creation. Cassia will graduate from Indiana University in May of 2025 with a major in Media Advertising and a minor in Marketing. At IU, Cassia is actively involved with the Glacier Marketing Group and the Public Relations Student Society of America and serves as a Max College Brand Manager. In her role, Cassia looks forward to expanding her marketing portfolio in the real estate industry and learning new strategies for lead generation and customer retention. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, skiing, and taking her mini golden doodle, Emmy, on long walks.

Meet Korbin! This summer, Korbin returns to Thompson Thrift as an intern, working with the Construction department and dividing his time between fieldwork in Pensacola, FL, and office duties in Terre Haute. His responsibilities span from daily drone photography to quality checks and safety protocol enforcement. Korbin plans to graduate from Indiana State University in December of 2025 with a major in Construction Management. At ISU, he's a member of the football team as well as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). When he's not on the job, Korbin enjoys golfing, working out, hanging out with friends, and watching movies. A fun fact about Korbin is that he used to play baseball as well in high school. He particularly values the supportive environment at Thompson Thrift, where he can learn from and collaborate with great people who are always willing to lend a hand or share their expertise.

Meet Jack! This summer, Jack is working as a Construction Field Intern at Stella in San Tan Valley, Arizona. Jack is excited about exploring Arizona, meeting new people, and learning from the Thompson Thrift Construction team. Jack will graduate from Purdue University in May of 2026 with a major in Construction Management and a minor in Real Estate. He's involved in the Real Estate Society executive board and enjoys working out, reading, and going on adventures on his Harley Davidson. A fun fact about Jack is that he shares his name with the Beef jerky company, earning him the nickname "Sasquatch." He appreciates the opportunity to learn as much as possible in his role at Thompson Thrift through being immersed in day-to-day operations.

Meet Matt! This summer, Matt is working alongside our Preconstruction Team in Terre Haute to complete takeoffs and estimates for our projects in Nampa, ID, and Fishers, IN. Matt plans to graduate from Indiana State University in May of 2025 with a major in Construction Management. At ISU, Matt is a member of the baseball team. In his free time, he enjoys hunting and fishing. A fun fact about Matt is that he has a golden retriever. In his role, Matt looks forward to learning a different side of construction and the project lifecycle. He loves his role because the team offers him great support, and the colleagues in the office are approachable, fostering a comfortable learning environment.

Meet Jace! This summer, Jace is working alongside the preconstruction team as an estimating intern. Jace plans to graduate from Indiana State University with a Construction Management major. His favorite part of his role is that he can work with knowledgeable individuals who actively contribute to his personal and professional development. Outside of his role, he enjoys watching football and basketball. A fun fact about Jace is that just about nothing makes him happier than a cold glass of milk.

Meet Ethan! This summer, Ethan is working alongside our construction team at Refinery at Pointe17 to learn the lay of the construction site's land and to understand what each team member oversees. Ethan currently studies Construction Management at Indiana State University and plans to graduate in December 2024. A fun fact about Ethan is that he is involved in nearly every intramural sport at ISU. His favorite hobbies include working out and playing both basketball and tennis. This summer, Ethan looks forward to furthering his construction knowledge and getting to know his team members.

Meet Paiton! This summer, Paiton is working alongside the construction team as a project management intern for our project, Verity, in Vero Beach, FL. Paiton graduated from ISU in May of 2024 with a major in Construction Management. Outside of work, Paiton enjoys reading and traveling.

Meet Trevor! This summer, Trevor is working alongside our accounting department to assist with construction accounting, billing, and weekly activity reports. Trevor will graduate from Indiana State University in December 2024 with a major in Accounting. In his role, he enjoys problem-solving and working as part of a team. A fun fact about Trevor is that he and his fiancé routinely watch SpongeBob SquarePants together.
