Thompson Thrift is excited to announce the acquisition of a 21-acre parcel located at the convergence of Interstate 10 and the Loop 101 in Phoenix, AZ. Thompson Thrift is currently working on final site plan approval to develop a mixed-use project on the property that will feature luxury apartment homes and a 65,000 square foot, grocer anchored shopping center.
Located at the NEC of 99th Avenue and McDowell Road, the site sits just off two of the Phoenix metros busiest freeways, which feature more than 300,000 vehicles per day. The property is the last undeveloped corner at this regional intersection, which already features Costco, Harkins Theaters, Main Event, Mountainside Fitness, Chick-Fil-A and almost 100 additional retailers and restaurants.
Chris Hake, senior vice president, director of the Southwest region for Thompson Thrift, said “Today marks a critical next step in the development of this tremendous infill project in the West Valley. We would like to thank Dan Gardiner of Phoenix Commercial Advisors for representing us in the acquisition of this land and the Seller and their brokerage team at Nathan & Associates for working with us over the last 18 months on this acquisition.”
