Thompson Thrift Named a Top Multifamily Developer and Top Commercial Real Estate Developer for 2024

INDIANAPOLIS (December 17, 2024) – Indianapolis-based Thompson Thrift, a full-service nationally recognized real estate company engaged in multifamily, industrial, commercial, mixed-use and retail projects, earned national recognition by being ranked as both a Top Multifamily Developer and Top Commercial Real Estate Developer in Multi-Housing News’s and Commercial Property Executive’s annual rankings.
The rankings represent a combined effort of the sister brands and are unique to the real estate industry in that they utilize a proprietary, weighted formula incorporating a variety of factors including deliveries between 2021 and 2023, projects under construction, the market value of the developments as well as future plans.

The company’s multifamily business unit secured the #13 spot on MHN’s list with 5,829 units completed during 2021-2023 and another 6,374 units under construction. The commercial division’s $500 million of completed industrial and retail developments propelled them to the #16 spot on CPE’s rankings.
Thompson Thrift is continuing a significant period of expansion and growth with large-scale industrial and mixed-use developments underway in Indiana and Arizona, as well as eight new residential developments started this year. Additionally, the company is raising equity for its seventh multi-project development partnership, Thompson Thrift 2025 Multifamily Development, LP.
